A dynamic fusion of traditional and contemporary music tonight
The Biennale of Sydney is proud to present the Japanese duo of Tsugaru shamisen player Dai Yamamoto and much lauded DJ/ Producer Kazunao Nagata on Australian shores for their first ever performance together outside Japan. The Tsugaru Shamisen is a traditional Japanese stringed instrument, that demands a fast and percussive style. Combined with Kazunao Nagata's electronic beats, tonight's performance promises to be an unforgettable sonic adventure.
Also performing are Kiwi artists Simon Cumming and Sean Kerr, who use hand constructed electronic devices and consumer electronics to generate and manipulate sound.
Remember, no booking? no worries. Plenty of room for all, doors open 7.30 pm.
