contact GONZO have tussled and rumbled their way through backstreets, parks, train stations, theatres and museums around the world to be with us tonight at SuperDeluxe@Artspace.

This extremely physical company from Osaka have made a name for themselves through numerous (occasionally guerrilla) performances. Narrative threads are conspicuously absent in the contact GONZO methodology, which fuses the dance logic of Contact Improvisation with Hunter S. Thompson’s gonzo aesthetic.

See apparently nonchalant encounters escalate to Fight Club intensity as contact GONZO push their pain thresholds with hard earned technique and sophisticated dance.
